Championing yourself

The name origin of June comes from the queen of the Roman gods, Juno who was the goddess of marriage, home and family as well as being the champion of women and protector of the Roman state. #womensupportingwomen

As you may know, I’m a huge advocate of self love and in the month of Juno, who better to champion you, than you. You see, self is everything. It’s so important to appreciate our inner qualities and physical traits yet we often get caught up in comparing ourselves to other. Showing yourself kindness and love through affirmation and a higher level of self awareness enables you to build confidence around wearing clothes that make you feel fun, sexy or free, play with makeup in ways that are self expressive and generally start shifting you into owning your unique beauty and general awesomeness. (Yep, inside and outside - this isn’t just about buying another lipstick or pair of jeans peeps!)

I believe if we are not growing we are dying. As humans beings we are designed to flourish, we are designed to continue to expand and grow and evolve, that’s the natural well-being. Choosing to make scry leaps forward in your self expression can feel super scary, however it’s those moments in life where you have everything to gain.

Loving ourselves is a journey and making it a practice to take care of ourselves, finding ways to please ourselves and listening to our hearts should be at the absolute top of our priority lists.
